Space International

For suppliers & manufacturers

Your brand in the Gulf, represented the way you built it.

Space International has been the in-market partner for kitchen-appliance manufacturers since 1985. This page sets out what we offer, what we expect, and how a distribution relationship with us begins.

The market

Why Saudi Arabia, and why now.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest appliance market in the Gulf and one of the fastest-growing housing markets in the world. National housing programmes under Vision 2030, new residential communities around Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province, and a young population forming households all translate into fitted kitchens — and every fitted kitchen needs a built-in oven, hob, hood and, increasingly, a dishwasher and integrated refrigeration.

Demand is strong, but the market is not simple. Products must be certified through the SABER platform against SASO technical regulations; gas appliances need the GSO Gulf Conformity Mark; refrigeration must carry the Saudi energy-efficiency label and be rated for tropical ambient temperatures. Distribution is fragmented across kitchen studios, retailers and developers, each expecting local stock, training and service. A manufacturer can build this capability from scratch, or work with a partner that already has it.

What we bring

A complete in-market operation from day one.

Established channels

41 years of relationships with kitchen studios, appliance retailers, interior designers, developers and contractors across the Kingdom.

Conformity desk

SASO / SABER registration, GSO G-mark, IECEE CB handling and energy labelling managed by a dedicated team that speaks your test laboratory's language.

Committed stock

We buy and hold inventory of running lines and spare parts in Riyadh. Your factory sees full-container orders on a forecast, not sporadic small lots.

Own service network

Factory-trained technicians, warranty administration and a parts store under our management. Brand reputation is protected at the point where it is most at risk.

Structured reporting

Monthly sell-in, sell-out, stock cover and service statistics, plus a twelve-month rolling forecast so production planning is shared.

Brand-compliant marketing

Localised catalogues, showroom displays, digital campaigns and exhibition presence executed within your guidelines and approved by your marketing team.

Partnership models

Three ways to work together.

We are open about which model suits which manufacturer. The right structure depends on your range, your existing presence in the region and how much of the market you want us to develop for you.

Exclusive distribution

Our preferred model for premium and mid-premium European brands without an established Gulf presence. We invest in stock, displays, training and marketing against a multi-year agreement with agreed volume and brand-development commitments on both sides.

Category or channel distribution

For manufacturers already present in the region through another route, we can take defined categories (for example built-in refrigeration) or defined channels (for example project supply) where our capability adds the most.

OEM and private-label programmes

For manufacturers, particularly in China, able to build to our Gulf specification: we define the product, audit the factory, manage conformity and take the product to market under an agreed brand. Long production runs, clear specifications, and quality gates at source.

Sourcing regions

What we look for from each region.

Sourcing priorities by region

Germany & AustriaDishwashers, induction, integrated laundry and compact appliances where engineering reputation is the selling point.
Wider EuropeSpecialist categories — sinks and taps, boiling-water taps, wine conditioning, ventilation — with a clear technical advantage.
ChinaValue-engineered built-in ranges and OEM programmes from audited factories with export experience to the GCC and existing CB-certified platforms.

How it starts

From first contact to first container.

01

Introduction

You send a catalogue, target segments and current export terms. We reply within three working days with a candid view of fit against our range and channels.

02

Range review & specification

Our product and compliance teams review the range for Gulf readiness and prepare a specification and certification gap list.

03

Commercial proposal

We propose a partnership model, territory, launch range, first-year volumes and the marketing and service commitments on each side.

04

Factory visit & agreement

Our team visits the factory; your team is welcome in Riyadh. A distribution agreement is concluded with clear KPIs.

05

Certification & launch stock

Products are registered, technicians are trained, displays are placed with dealers and the launch container ships.

Due diligence

What we can provide your credit and compliance teams.

  • Commercial registration and trade licence, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Bank references and trade references from existing supply partners, on request.
  • Payment on internationally standard terms: letters of credit, documentary collection or open account with credit insurance, according to relationship stage.
  • Import records demonstrating continuous activity in kitchen appliances since 1985.
  • Compliance procedures for anti-corruption, sanctions screening and product-safety recall handling.

We treat supplier information as confidential and are happy to sign a mutual NDA before exchanging catalogues, price lists or market data.
